Account Deletion

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Account deletion is a permanent and irreversible action. Please read the information below carefully before proceeding.
1. How to Delete Your Account
You can request the deletion of your account at any time through the application settings:
- Open the Contatinhos application
- Go to Profile (person icon in the top right corner)
- Scroll to the Account section
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm by typing "delete" when prompted
- Confirm the action again
💡 Tip: Before deleting your account, consider exporting or saving any important information, such as conversations, photos, or contact data that you want to keep.
2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you request account deletion, the following actions occur immediately:
- Your account is permanently deleted and you will be logged out from all devices
- Your email is changed to free up registration (you will no longer be able to log in)
- All access tokens are revoked
- You will no longer appear in searches or discoveries of other users
- Your conversations and interactions are permanently removed
- All your personal data is removed from our systems
⚠️ PERMANENT AND IRREVERSIBLE ACTION: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. After confirming deletion, you will not be able to recover your account or any associated information.
3. Data That Will Be Deleted
When your account is permanently deleted, the following data will be removed:
- Profile information (name, age, bio, preferences)
- Profile photos
- Conversation and message history
- Interactions (likes, dislikes, matches)
- Preferences and settings
- Location data
- Push notification tokens
- Subscription and payment history (kept only for accounting and legal purposes as required by law)
4. Data That May Be Retained
Some data may be retained for longer periods or permanently for legal, security, or operational reasons:
- Financial transaction records: Retained as required by tax laws and regulations
- Moderation records: If you were reported or violated our Terms of Use, we may retain anonymized records for security purposes
- Aggregated and anonymized data: Statistics and analytics that do not personally identify you
- Audit records: Security records necessary for platform operation and protection
5. Account Recovery
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. It is not possible to recover your account or any associated data after confirming deletion. If you wish to use Contatinhos again in the future, you will need to create a new account.
6. Effects on Other Users
When you delete your account:
- Your matches will be notified that you are no longer available
- Active conversations will be ended
- Other users will no longer be able to see your profile or contact you
- Photos shared in conversations may remain visible to other users until they are manually removed by them
7. Subscriptions and Payments
If you have an active subscription:
- The subscription will be canceled immediately
- You will not receive a refund for unused periods, unless required by law
- Payment records will be retained as required by tax laws and regulations

8. Security and Privacy
When you delete your account:
- Your data is securely and permanently removed from our systems
- We do not keep copies of your personal data after deletion
- Deletion is processed irreversibly
9. Legal Compliance
Contatinhos' account deletion process complies with:
- GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation): Ensures your right to request deletion of your personal data
- Tax regulations: We maintain financial records as required by law
- Security laws: We may retain certain records for security and fraud prevention purposes
12. Limitations and Liabilities
By requesting account deletion, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Decision Responsibility: The deletion request is your decision, made voluntarily and consciously. You are responsible for ensuring this is truly the desired action before confirming.
- Data Backup: It is your responsibility to backup or export any information, content, or data you wish to retain before requesting deletion. Contatinhos does not provide data export tools and is not responsible for the loss of information you have not previously saved.
- Technical Limitations: While we strive to ensure all data is completely removed, there may be limitations that prevent immediate removal of all data in security copies or operational records. You acknowledge that complete removal may take time.
- Shared Content: Content you shared with other users (such as messages, photos in conversations) may remain visible to those users even after your account deletion, until they manually remove such content. Contatinhos is not responsible for content that remains with other users.
- Warranty Disclaimer: The deletion process is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that all data will be removed immediately.
- Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Contatinhos shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your account deletion, including, but not limited to, data loss, loss of opportunities, or interruption of relationships established through the platform.
- Future Claims: By confirming deletion, you waive any right to claim account restoration, data recovery, or compensation related to deletion, except when expressly required by applicable law.
Legal Note: These limitations and disclaimers are applicable to the maximum extent permitted by applicable Brazilian legislation, including LGPD. Nothing in these provisions limits or excludes our liability for damages that cannot be legally limited or excluded.
10. Alternatives to Deletion
Before permanently deleting your account, consider these alternatives:
- Temporarily deactivate: Use Incognito Mode to temporarily disappear from searches without deleting your account
- Block users: If you are having problems with specific users, use the block function
- Adjust privacy settings: Review your privacy and notification settings
- Take a break: Simply stop using the application for a while
⚠️ Important: If you choose to delete your account, ensure there are no pending processes, ongoing investigations, or legal obligations that may be affected by deletion. Contatinhos will not be responsible for consequences arising from deletion under such circumstances.

Account deletion processing is performed automatically whenever possible. However:

- We reserve the right to verify the identity of the requester before processing deletion, especially in cases where there is suspicion of unauthorized account access
- In cases of ongoing legal investigations or pending legal obligations, we may delay deletion processing as necessary to comply with legal obligations
- We do not guarantee specific timeframes for completion of the deletion process, although we strive to process requests as quickly as possible
